Raymond Heidel, CFP®, MS

     Ray founded Five Rivers Financial Advisors, LLC as a Registered Investment Advisor in 1997. He has more than 20 years experience in the accounting and finance organizations of large corporations plus over 15 years of experience in asset management and financial planning.

 

      Ray graduated from Loyola University of Maryland with a bachelor’s in Accounting and went on to attend graduate level courses. He is a graduate of The College For FInancial Planning where he did his coursework for his certification. He earned his Master of Science degree in Personal Financial Planning in 2009 . He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the Maryland Chapter of the FPA. 

 

    Ray is currently a director of the Cecil County Public Safety Pension Plan Board. Ray is a three year past President of the North East Chamber of Commerce. He is a past Chairman of the Union Hospital of Cecil County Foundation Board. He is also a past Director on the Board of Cecil County Breeder's Fair, Inc. He is frequently asked to speak at local organizations on financial topics. He has also been featured in articles in local newspapers on various financial planning topics. He has taught classes at The University of Delaware College of Lifelong Learning. He was selected as the North East Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year for 2006. Ray was also featured in an article in the March, 2003 edition of Financial Advisor magazine.
